PT / HFZ Goals

Cadet Physical Fitness Program

Physical training (PT) is one of the five program elements of the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. PT is the springboard for health and fitness programs that are critical to each cadet's development.

The Cadet Physical Fitness Test (CPFT) is based on the Presidential Youth Fitness Program Health Fitness Zone (HFZ) Standards.  

NOTE: New cadets just need to attempt the CPFT (Cadet Physical Fitness Test) as a baseline for the first promotion and this attempt counts as passing the PT test for 180 days, so if advancing every 8 weeks, could carry the new cadet through the next 2 to 3 promotions.
